The History Man
In September, The History Man came to visit us. The day began with looking at some incredible artefacts: beginning with stones, which our ancestors began using as tools, to their discovery of flint and bronze! We tracked all of these tools on a timeline and were fascinated by the adaptations that were made.

In our afternoon session, the children had an opportunity to:
- dress like a girl or boy from the Stone Age
- build a shelter
- throw spears (made of foam so that we didn't upset Mr Burns)
- chop wood with stone tools
- grind grain to make flour
The children had a go at each activity and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
