Welcome to the Year 3 page

We'd like to welcome you to our Year 3 page. Here you will find out what we are learning about in school, keep updated with any exciting events that may be going on, in and around school and look at some fantastic pieces of work completed by our Year 3 children. Don't forget to keep checking our Class Dojo pages and the school newsletter for regular updates on school life.

Children have many learning platforms they are able to access at home as well as in school, including Reading Plus, Spelling Shed and TT Rockstars. They will have weekly homework set on MyMaths linking to what they have been learning about in their lessons and weekly spellings that will be tested on a Friday. Children will have a reading book that can be brought home and we ask that they can be listened to daily for about 5-10 minutes, with reading logged on the 'Learning with Parents' platform.

Learning with Parents Please use this online platform to log any reading that you do with your child at home, whether that is their school reading book, a book from home or a book from their local library.

Reading Plus This is a fantastic platform to build children's confidence, fluency and accuracy with reading which supports their comprehension skills.

Spelling Shed Weekly spellings will be put on this platform. It is a fantastic platform to support the children with learning their weekly spellings.

MyMaths This is the online platform we use to set our Maths homework and should be completed weekly. Mr Hyde runs a homework club twice a week at lunchtime if children struggle to access the online platform at home.
