• Birthday cards for Rhys

  Today in assembly, the children heard the story of a boy from Bolton called Rhys.

   

  Rhys is 13-years old and suffers from a rare skin condition which makes life very difficult for him, so much so that he wishes a "butterfly would come and take" him away.

   

  His birthday is on September 21st and his mother is asking the public to get involved by sending him birthday cards to help raise his spirits. All of us at St. Andrew's were humbled by this news and we are encouraging the school community to get involved. His mother, Ms Williams, says "hopefully it can make him see that not everything is bad."

   

  Cards brought into school will be posted together. Alternatively, if you wanted to send one privately, Rhys' address is 40 Whalley Avenue, Bolton, BL1 5UD.

• Our new website launches

  Over the summer break, our school website has been overhauled and we are over-the-moon with the new-look site.
