United Utilities visit 22nd January 2020

On Wednesday, Year 4 were lucky enough to have a visit from United Utilities. This supported our learning of the Water Cycle both in Science and Geography and taught us all about where our clean water comes from.

We learnt about how much fresh water there is in the world (it isn't much at all!) and how we use and treat rain water (precipitation) to get clean water to our taps. We also learnt what we can do to help save water both in school and at home. For example, we could save 88,000 litres of water just by placing a free Save-a-Flush bag in each toilet in our school building!

We had a great day and can't wait to take our ideas to our School Task Force to start saving water straight away.
