This term, we are reading 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell. This is an exciting adventure story set in the Amazon rainforest. Through this text, we will access our Science learning (Living things and their habitats) as well as many aspects of Geography, such as human and physical characteristics and knowledge of the equator, tropics, biomes and vegetation belts.

We will be writing non-chronological reports about the rainforest, survival guides, persuasive texts about deforestation, as well as diary extracts to showcase our understanding of characterisation as the story progresses.
