Today's task is to finish off your hero story set in a fantasy setting. From the pieces of work I saw posted on Dojo yesterday, there was some excellent stories being created. There was plenty of exciting introductions and there was some terrific imagination going on.

There's a few things I'd like you to think about whilst you're writing today.

1. Make sure you're using your adjectives. You planned these out earlier in the week for your hero and monster. Go back to your earlier work and make sure you have used all of the language you planned for.

2. Take the reader on a journey. Think back to the story paths we created last Friday in school. Make sure you're taking your reader on a journey by giving plenty of detail to what the setting is like. What can you hear? See? Smell? Taste? Touch? Take your time with your explanations and don't rush it.

3. Build up the tension. We've spent a lot of time talking about building up tension in our stories. We do this by gradually building it up. Look back at your writing from yesterday and think how well you've done this.

I can't wait to see your creations Year 4. If you want to take a bit longer doing this task, seeing as it is a longer writing piece, that is absolutely fine. Feel free to submit this piece of work at any point between now and Monday.

Have fun!
