Goooood Morning year 5!
St Andrew's is a-twitter with excitement as we take part in the RSPB and BBC's Winterwatch week. A little bit of a change from your usual English today - I'm actually telling you to watch TV!
At 11am go here for a live lesson https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/live-lessons/big-schools-winterwatch-live-lesson/zv8vn9q all about bird watching and identifying what we see in our gardens. I'm not sure but I'm hoping you'll be able to watch it there after the recording too.
It's also on CBBC if you can pry your parents away from their daytime telly.
Here's a little activity pack for you to go through as you watch the episode.
Of course we want this activity to only be the beginning of your twitcher life! Get outside over the next few days, try to identify what they are and take some pictures of the birds you spot. Claire is particularly excited!
You can also take part in the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch here; https://www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/everything-you-need-to-know-about-big-garden-birdwatch/
Sign up and help the charity record what birds we have in little Hadfield!
Enjoy year 5!
